Approaching Winter

I went out to Farmington Lake a couple of weeks ago, and took these. Every year we have that time right after the last of the leaves are gone and we have yet to see a real snowfall in the valleys. The days are sunny and still warm and the La Plata Mountains prophecy the coming season.
As of this moment (Tuesday afternoon, sounds like a song) we are in the 3rd day of a "major winter event" which is expected to last until at least Thursday. There is plenty of white stuff to go around to be sure. Should have some real winter scenes to post very soon.

The last of the Fall photos. This season began later, and lasted longer than any I can remember. Awesome!
Well, winter is coming, and the next post will have some winter pics, though we have yet to see any snow. The mountains however, finally got a good dose last week.

Summer Sunsets

Went out to an area we call The Glade a couple of Saturdays ago.
Took some more sunset shots. The transition into fall brings some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets. I hope you enjoy these.

Dog Days of Summer

This summer has been a hard one for me to get
out to photograph the area. There have been too many changes and transitions to deal with at home and at church.

I did manage to get a few opportunities especially this past weekend. Here are some from about a month ago.
You can already feel Fall coming, mostly in the mornings.
